about

Beeper is a collaboration a couple years in the making. Rising Atlanta artists Cam James and Michael Aristotle, both fresh off major placements on Netflix's Uncorked and Missy Elliott's ICONOLOGY respectively, come together for a laid-back summer cruise joint showcasing their storytelling prowess and slick wordplay.

Producer Caleb Mutua debuts with a bang, lacing the track with a lo-fi sample of Destiny's Child's classic "So Good". Nobody uses beepers anymore, but this one will have you wishing you did.

lyrics

Lyrics:

Ridin' down Lenox, 'bout 25 minutes after we
Took full advantage of yo mattress, I got a masterpiece
Number on my beeper say time for that action, cool
Delivering satisfaction, Uber to yo pool
On the north side of the city
Came out you lookin' pretty
Fenty two-piece on you, that bottom is not a mini
Hot Girl Summer shit but you 5'5"
Might not be stallion, but you fine fine
Lately my pager been like a lifeline, you been busy
Got a man, but then you see me talmbout you miss me
Are we connected, or you just neglected?
Know you want the pipe, but I need some perspective
Linking on the weekend, troubled waters we deep in
I'm becomin' prominent in my field, and I feel like
We been livin' a dream, in real life
I can fuck yo weave up or take it deeper
Hit me on my beeper

323, you said you want it, now you in too deep
I been in these streets, makin' the dream work
Hit me on my two-way
Movin' a few days, but imma fall through, for you

Riding the marta
To peachtree plaza
Before this started
Bookbag wit my apron
I'm workin' at Hilton Garden
This like a year ago
I'm a worker and starving artist
Now i been catchin placements, some homies been catchin' charges
Back to the story
I'm washin' dishes
I put em all up
Came round the corner
Went by the sink and thats when i saw ya
Thick like u from atlanta
Your voice sound like California
Complexion honey
Some scattered freckles i cant ignore ya
Now it make sense, you from the west coast
You so chill
Before the shift you blow the best smoke
I wanna give you the deepest strokes
Ya neck choked
Followed by OJ, eggs, bacon and french toast
But i never said a word i gotta be behave
Found out you had a nigga and y'all just got engaged
Is this the end of my story?
A period on the page
You older than me; you think I'm cool but the issue my age
Months later met a icon
I'm feelin' like a god
Started finishing the album
And thats when i quit my job
Thought i'd never get to see you
Felt like i was fallin' off
Found out y'all broke up
And the wedding y'all called it off
Then i got the number
Lets skip the catchin' up i wanna make the pussy slumber
I know you wanna live yo life
Go out at night this summer
I'll make it good I'll lay the wood
I gotta keep a lumber
I'll put you on the pedestal
Imma love bein' under
Every minute i think im losin' you
After y'all broke up
You wanna stay single
I wanna get used to you
You told me live my life it's all you
But you could still hit me and fall thru
Hit the beeper

Hit me on my beeper if it's real to you
Only way you show me how you feel, what's the deal
I don't know how to say that I would kill for you
Is that one four three? maybe six tre seven
Slide through wit' that service does that impede our connection?
I'll provide that protection, but still run up in you raw
I ain't givin' you presents like that machine with the claw
I'm dead serious y'all, uh

I got it got it, look
122, you fall through, we can do what we do
I'll hit it right, deliver pipe on the daily
And when I'm gone you get crazy
You blow me up when you need to
Seein' emotions bleed through
After you left ya man in September
You was down 'n out, 'n i get it
It hurts to remember
Every relationship feels like it's the final trip
Cop some bags 'n designer shit
But nothin' fills the void up inside you
I'm just tryna provide you
Satisfaction that comes with orgasms attached
We both got needs,
If catchin' feelings the forest
Then we both got seeds
Girl this cold heart bleeds
And my body count runnin' higher than go kart speeds
Imma chill wit' you after, ain't no one night rapper
I got empathy for ya problems
Let's talk it out, we can solve 'em
You even cried on my shoulder
Potential for love, girl when we older
I'll reach out, come to my beach house
Just leave ya pager on
